Beach Permits:  Town of Southampton: Beach permits may be purchased at Flying Point Beach in Water Mill, Long Beach- Foster Memorial  in Sag Harbor. Additional information is available at http://southamptontownny.gov/   Seasonal non-resident/ summer visitor permits are $300. for the summer of 2012. The occupant and the car registration must match.

Southampton Village –  Beach Permits  for Coopers Beach, Fowler, Old Town, Wyandanch, Little Plains, Agawam, Cryder Lane and beaches west of Coopers beach except for Dune Beach  that is a Village residents only beach.  In 2010, Dr. Beach declared Coopers Beach the  #1 beach in the  USA.  A seasonal summer visitor non-resident permit costs $350.  For requirements please go to www.southamptonvillage.org   Departments Village Clerk

The Town of Southampton  vs. the Village of Southampton:   It is good to be aware that the Village of Southampton was settled in 1640. It is the oldest English Settlement in NY State and is one of a number of incorporated villages or hamlets within the town of Southampton.
